2011-09-12 National 9/11 Memorial opens to the public
The National September 11 Memorial opened its doors to the general public on September 12, 2011, one day after the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the USA. On Sunday, September 11, the memorial was the scene of the 9/11 memorial ceremonies, and was open to the families of the victims.
